Ministry Projects

Nearly one third of all homeless men are veterans. These men live on the streets. Many stay at Rescue Missions and eat at Soup Kitchens. Many are trying hard to improve their lot, others have given up and see their situation as hopeless. Some just choose, for their own reasons, to live this way. One thing that they all have in common is a need for items that are needed for relieving hunger, staying warm and keeping themselves clean. Bronze Star Ministry is trying in a small way to address those needs by creating the Veteran's Basic Bag. Each bag contains a pair of gloves, a pair of thermal socks, a black watch hat,  wash cloths,  small shampoo,  deodorant,  disposable razors,  bar of soap,  tooth brush and paste,  small hair brush and comb,  Protein Bars,  pkg beef jerky, and a vest pocket size Bible. These items are placed in a two and a half gallon size plastic bag and marked "Veteran's Basic Bag".  They are taken to local homeless shelters and given to their Veteran clients in need. We intend to make this an ongoing project of the ministry.

GIVING COMFORT AND ENCOURAGEMENT TO SICK AND HOSPICE CARE VETERANS

The lap blankets pictured here are being  made by  two very skillful and dedicated volunteers to this ministry. The blankets represent the branch of service that the veteran served in and Army, Air Force, Navy and Marines are represented.  These blankets are given as a gift of  Bronze Star Ministry as a testimony of the love of Jesus Christ and in appreciation for the veterans service to our nation. We hope that this gesture provides comfort, encouragement and a chance to pray with and share the Love of our Savior, not only with those who know The Lord, but also with those who are lost and without hope.  We appreciate your prayers and support for this ministry .
